Administrative/Operations/Executive Officer-Helicopter Antisubmarine Squadrons, Three, Seven, One; Deployments aboard USS INTREPID, USS NASHVILLE, HMS ENGADINE; Recruiting Officer for Aviation Officer Programs; Exchange Pilot/Training Officer with Royal Navy; Air/Senior Watch/Training Officer-USS NASHVILLE; Executive/Commanding Officer-Fleet Command Composite Squadron Five, Cubi Point, Republic of the Philippines; Assistant Director of War Gamin, War College, Newport, RI; Staff of Inspector General, Washington, D.C.; Senior Military Attache, American Embassy, Athens, Greece.
Awarded Air Medal with Bronze Star; Navy Achievement Medal, Navy Unit Commendation, National Defense Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Purple Heart, Legion of Merit Medal.
Captain Nordeen died in a terrorist bombing in Athens, Greece, June 28, 1988. He was buried with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C.,
July 6, 1988.
