This week is National FFA Week and the Unity FFA is celebrating in several ways. There is a mason jar of corn kernels in the high school office. Stop by to guess how many kernels of corn are in the jar. The closest guess by the end of the week will be give a prize! The corn was grown by FFA member Nick Frokjer and his family. In addition to the corn kernel contest, the FFA will also be giving out a treat to students on Thursday as they arrive to school. You'll have to wait to see what it is!
Aaliyah Bowers is this week's CTE Leader of the Week! Aaliyah is the daughter of Brandy Bruner and Nathan Bowers. She is a junior at Unity School District. Currently, Aaliyah has a 4.0 GPA! She is also very involved in the school and community. She plays basketball and serves as a Milltown princess. She is also the FBLA Vice President and a two time FBLA state qualifier. She was chosen as the student of the week because of her positive attitude and her incredible work ethic. Aaliyah plans to work in the business field after graduation and she also wants to specialize in marketing. There is no doubt, her future is bright!
