An Evening with Hunter Pinke!
On May 28th, Unity students will have the incredible opportunity to hear motivational speaker Hunter Pinke share his inspiring journey of perseverance and recovery following a skiing accident that left him paralyzed from the chest down.

Students hit the road to visit two local farms and get a firsthand look at modern animal production. Their first stop was Four Cub Farms in Grantsburg, where they toured a state-of-the-art dairy operation. From herd management and genetics to nutrition and data tracking (yes… cow “Fitbits” collars!), students saw how technology is shaping the future of dairy. They even got to watch a live hoof trimming demonstration!
In the afternoon, the group traveled to Petzel Sheep Farm in Centuria for an awesome experience. Students explored the sheep barn and rotated through hands-on learning stations, practicing skills like ear tagging, castration, aging sheep, and evaluating body condition. 🐑
We are incredibly grateful for our local farmers who opened their gates and shared their knowledge with our students. These real-world experiences help bring agriculture to life and give our students a deeper appreciation for the work behind our food systems. Thank you for this great day of learning! 👏

These students wrapped up their rotation with an independent textiles project, exploring hands-on skills like crochet, hand sewing, quilling, paper making, latch hooking, weaving, macramé, and batik.
So much talent on display! 👏🏽
