Announcements:

 

FFA Career Development Event Contest Results:  Congratulations to the Unity FFA members that competed in the FFA Career Development Events this past Saturday.  Blake and Nick Frokjer did an outstanding job in the Crop Show contest with their soybeans placing 2nd overall.  The Horse Evaluation team consisting of Carly Eibs, Mellisa Valleen, Maddison Simmerman, and Trinity Beauvais placed 16 out of 27 teams with the top individual from Unity being Maddison Simmerman placing 41st individually out of 88 contestants.  The Veterinary Science team consisted of Emma Mullin, Annie Strege, and Paige Miller.  The Vet Team placed 17 out of 28 teams and Emma Mullin lead the team placing 34th out of 100 contestants.  The Agronomy Contest team placed 5th overall and Nick Frokjer placed an impressive 9th individually and Megan Glenna placed 13th individually.  Other Agronomy teammates included Preston Glenna and Blake Frokjer.  The Floriculture Team placed 9th out of 16 teams and junior Molly Trieschmann impressed everyone by placing 7th individually.  Other Floriculture team contestants included Destiny Lowell and Alexis Dargiewicz.  The fifth and final team from the FFA contests was the Wildlife Management team consisting of Sam Volgren, Gunner Hasselquist, Scott Cebery, and Logan Vanasse.  Sam Volgren lead the team with a individual placing of 31st out of 80.  The Wildlife Team placed 14 out of 25 teams total.  Overall it was a great day of competitions and the students learned a lot about their agricultural contest areas!  Congrats to all!

Eagle Lifting Club - Lifting is cancelled on Wednesday after school.

 

Ag on the Lawn:  Applications are due this week Friday for all students that are interested in helping with the event.

FFA Members:  Your chapter banquet is this Sunday and you need to wear official FFA attire.  Stop by the ag room and check out a jacket if needed.  Also, please be sure to RSVP to the banquet if you haven't already.

Blood Drive:  Looking to save lives?  Don't forget that you need to sign up ahead of time to donate blood as a student.  Students 16 years of age need to have a Red Cross Donor Consent form signed by their parent/guardian.

Save Time in the Lunch Line: Take Fruit/Veggies every day! You must choose at least ½ cup of fruit, vegetable or a combination of the 2 in order to have a complete meal.  This is a requirement of the National School Lunch Program.  Be sure to take fruit and/or veggies as you go through the lunch line.  If you don’t, you will be sent back to the line to get fruit/veggies.  Please be respectful of your lunch staff members and follow their directions.
