Middle School Announcements 9.4.2020

Friday, September 4, 2020

Today is a B/1 day.

Polk County was recently moved up in a risk category. Your activity supervisor will explain changes when you enter your assigned location.

Calling all Materials from the 2019-2020 School Year

We are still missing textbooks, instruments, and other materials checked out to students last school year.  Time to clean that room, look under your bed, and return items to school for others to use.  Please give these items to your homeroom teacher.

6th Graders:

Choir will begin September 21. Please let Mrs. Paulsen know if you are interested.

Band Students: Starting today through September 18, you will be reporting to your regular Study Hall everyday. Mrs. Sorel is going to be getting to know all of you. She will be pulling small group lessons starting September 8 through September 18.  She will share the small group schedule at a later date.

Starting the week of September 21, the 6th grade band will begin to start meeting in larger groups. More details to come.

A friendly reminder, students should not be dropped off before 8:00am. This will help reduce students congregating in front of the school before supervision can be provided.

MS Cross Country begins next Tuesday. Please email Coach Deb Dunsmoor and Coach Laura Birling if you plan on joining the team.

You will need a water bottle, running shoes, and a sports physical (if you had a physical last year, then you need the buff card).

Practice goes from 3:30-5:15, with parent pick up at 5:30 at the HS entrance.
