High School Announcements 2.21.2019

February 21, 2019

Greetings from the Unity FFA!  Did you know what this week is National FFA Week?  FFA members across America are celebrating this week and the Unity FFA thought it would be fun to provide our school with fun FFA facts this week!

Did you know...About 70 percent of FFA members live in rural/farm areas. About 10 percent live in urban and suburban areas, and 19 percent live in small towns.

Of all of the FFA members nationally, 89 percent are in grades 9-12, 7 percent are in grades 7-8 and 9 percent are high school graduates.  Yes, we said high school graduates.  You can be an active member of the FFA until age 21!

CTE Student of the day:

2/20 Today’s CTE Student of the day is Anna Gingras. Anna recently placed second at the FBLA regional tournament in her competitive event. She works incredibly hard in all she does and gives 100% of herself to FBLA. She even works the school store every Friday to help boost sales. She has been an incredible addition to Unity’s FBLA chapter. Congratulations to Anna and please stop by Mrs. Ahlgren’s room to pick-up a prize!

2/21 The CTE student of the day is Carly Eibs ! Carly has set her roots deep into agriculture at an early age. Her supervised agricultural experience in the equine industry serves as an example for other agriculture students. She spends many hours learning more about equine science and horse care. Carly has taken several agriculture classes her freshman year and is diving into agriculture! Carly’s future is definitely bright in CTE!
